Flooded Tombs of the Nile
National Geographic
Archaeologists and a team of divers enter the flooded pyramid of Nastasen, the last Kushite king buried at the royal cemetery of Nuri. Their target is the last chamber, where a large and rectangular bedrock lies in the middle of the room – feet underwater and seemingly untouched. Diving with air hoses and risking structural collapse, the team reveals new clues about the mysterious Kushite kingdom that ruled Egypt for nearly a hundred years.
With this documentary, Faction handled the color grading, bringing clarity to the challenging underwater pyramid dives and definition to the archaeological details to ensure a polished presentation of the Kushite kingdom’s story.
